Capital Smart Motors (CSM) has made a major move in Pakistan’s electric vehicle (EV) market by unveiling six new EV models from leading Chinese automakers Geely, JMEV, and Forthing. The official launch took place at the company’s “EVOLVE” event in Lahore, showcasing a lineup that ranges from luxury electric SUVs to Pakistan’s first all-electric pickup truck.
A Diverse Lineup for Every Segment
The six vehicles launched by CSM include:
- Zeekr 009: A premium electric MPV offering a luxurious interior, dual-motor AWD system, and top-tier comfort designed for executive travel.
- Zeekr X: A compact, performance-oriented electric SUV featuring a minimalist Scandinavian-inspired cabin and power output of up to 422 hp.
- Zeekr 7X: A mid-size SUV built for longer drives, offering a balance of performance, range, and practicality with an AWD variant available.
- Forthing Friday: A versatile family SUV available as both a fully electric and a Range-Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV), catering to those concerned about charging infrastructure.
- JMEV Elight: A budget-friendly electric sedan tailored for daily urban commutes, offering practicality and modern features at an accessible price.
- Riddara RD6: Pakistan’s first all-electric pickup truck, built on an SUV platform to handle both commercial needs and outdoor adventures.
Partnership and Future Plans
The launch follows a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Capital Smart Motors and Geely, aimed at introducing next-generation new energy vehicles (NEVs) to the Pakistani market.
As part of its customer-focused approach, CSM is providing home charging solutions for all early buyers to make EV ownership more convenient. Looking ahead, the company plans to explore local assembly options within the next two years to make EVs more affordable for Pakistani consumers.

This launch comes at a time when Pakistan’s interest in electric mobility is rapidly growing, driven by rising fuel prices and increasing environmental awareness.
