Chevrolet Electric Cars: US Models and Buying Guide
Chevrolet electric cars for U.S. shoppers currently include the Bolt, Equinox EV and Blazer EV, with the Silverado EV serving pickup buyers. Chevrolet’s product pages now feature 2027 models, while dealers may also have earlier model years. Choose by the exact vehicle’s price, range, charging port and availability—not the model name alone.
Research checked: October 19, 2026. This guide covers personal-use electric cars, SUVs and pickups. Commercial delivery vans are outside its scope. The Chevrolet U.S. EV hub is a useful starting point, but the model-specific pages below take priority when a general overview still displays an older figure.
Chevrolet electric cars: the current U.S. shortlist
The four model families serve different jobs. Use this table to decide what to investigate first, then check an actual vehicle’s window sticker or build sheet before comparing offers. The range figure is tied to the stated configuration; it is not a promise for every trim.
| 2027 model | Range reference on official page | Good starting point if you need… |
|---|---|---|
| Bolt | 262 miles, EPA-estimated | A compact EV for everyday driving |
| Equinox EV | 319 miles, EPA-estimated, FWD | A five-seat electric SUV |
| Blazer EV | 312 miles, EPA-estimated, FWD | Another SUV option to compare in person |
| Silverado EV | Up to 478 miles, GM-estimated; available configuration | A pickup for cargo, work or towing needs |
FWD means front-wheel drive; AWD means all-wheel drive. An EPA estimate and a manufacturer’s development estimate are different kinds of evidence, so keep the “GM-estimated” label attached to the Silverado figure. None is a forecast for your own highway, winter or towing trip.
Which Chevrolet EV fits your routine?
Bolt: start here for a smaller everyday EV
The 2027 Bolt is a new-model-year offering, not simply a used Bolt with a new registration date. Chevrolet lists LT and RS versions, a standard NACS charging port, and a GM-estimated 25-minute 10%–80% DC fast-charge time under its stated conditions.
Use the Bolt as a starting point if compact size is high on your list. During a test drive, check rear-seat access, your usual bags and child-seat fit where relevant. Do not transfer the new model’s charging claims to an older Bolt EV or Bolt EUV.

Equinox EV: compare space and drivetrain before adding options
The 2027 Equinox EV seats up to five. Chevrolet lists 319 EPA-estimated miles for FWD versions and 307 for available AWD versions, illustrating why two listings with the same model name may not have the same range.
Treat it as a practical comparison point for an electric SUV, then test your actual passenger and cargo needs. Bring the stroller, mobility aid or other bulky item you regularly carry. A maximum cargo-volume number cannot tell you whether a particular object fits through the opening.
Blazer EV: choose the configuration, not just the badge
The 2027 Blazer EV is another Chevrolet electric SUV. Its official page lists 312 EPA-estimated miles with FWD and a new NACS port. Keep that drivetrain qualifier when comparing a dealer listing or a different version.
Compare the Blazer EV and Equinox EV side by side for seating position, visibility, rear-seat comfort and cargo access. Decide whether the equipment on the specific Blazer justifies its quote for you. A higher price or sportier appearance does not automatically mean longer range.

Silverado EV: buy for the truck job
The 2027 Silverado EV page lists LT and Trail Boss models and advertises up to 478 GM-estimated miles on an available configuration. The maximum available range is not necessarily attached to the least expensive truck.
If you tow, carry heavy equipment or use a bed regularly, compare the exact truck’s ratings with your actual load. Ask about payload, trailer requirements, charging access with a trailer and the space needed to park at home. Do not use an unloaded range headline as your towing-range estimate.

What do Chevrolet electric cars cost?
Chevrolet’s linked 2027 product pages advertise starting figures of $27,600 for Bolt, $34,995 for Equinox EV, $45,000 for Blazer EV and $61,900 for Silverado EV at this check. These are manufacturer website reference figures, not dealer quotes or verified out-the-door totals.
Confirm the destination/freight treatment in the exact build before comparing totals. Ask for a written breakdown of the vehicle, options, destination, taxes, title, registration and dealer fees; do not add a charge twice if it is already included. A pictured “as shown” vehicle may cost more than the entry version.
Keep home charging equipment and electrical work separate from the vehicle quote. Use our Level 2 installation cost guide to understand what belongs in an installation estimate, then request a quote for your own property.
Do not subtract an old federal EV tax credit from a new purchase budget. The IRS states that the new, previously owned and qualified commercial clean-vehicle credits are unavailable for vehicles acquired after September 30, 2025. State, local, utility and manufacturer offers require their own current eligibility checks.
Check model year before choosing chargers or adapters
NACS is the North American Charging Standard connector format. CCS is another charging connector system found on many earlier EVs. Sharing a Chevrolet badge does not guarantee that two cars have the same port or need the same adapter.
In its August 2026 charging update, GM identifies the 2027 Bolt as NACS-native and describes its transition to native NACS across 2027 EVs. It lists 2026 Equinox EV, Blazer EV and Silverado EV among models requiring an appropriate adapter for compatible NACS fast chargers. Verify the actual vehicle and current manufacturer instructions.
A connector match alone does not establish access to every station. Check the automaker’s supported charger list, required adapter, account or activation process and whether the equipment supports AC home charging or DC fast charging. Our EV connector compatibility guide explains those distinctions.
For home use, establish how much energy your driving needs before buying the highest-output charger. Our home charging guide covers parking and electrical planning. Follow the exact model’s charge-limit guidance rather than applying one percentage to every Chevy battery.
How to confirm availability before visiting a dealer
An active product page or a “Build & Price” button does not prove a matching vehicle is physically at your local dealer. Factory orders, vehicles in transit and stock already reserved for someone else can appear during the same shopping process.
- Choose the exact model year and trim. Include drivetrain and battery configuration where applicable.
- Search official inventory for your ZIP code. Record a VIN or stock number, not just a screenshot of an advertised payment.
- Confirm the vehicle’s location and status. Ask whether it is on the lot, in transit, order-only, reserved or a demonstrator.
- Request the window sticker and an itemized quote. Check that the equipment, range reference and price describe that same vehicle.
- Confirm test-drive and delivery details. Ask which charging cables or adapters are included, and which require a separate purchase.
Use one comparison worksheet for every quote
The easiest way to avoid a misleading comparison is to keep the same fields beside each offer. Fill in the missing items before deciding which deal is better; a blank field is a question for the seller, not permission to assume the most favorable answer.

| Write down | Why it changes the decision |
|---|---|
| VIN, model year and trim | Prevents comparing an older-stock car with a newer specification |
| Drivetrain, battery and rated range | Prevents pairing a base price with another version’s range |
| Out-the-door price and included equipment | Makes fees and missing cables or adapters visible |
| Usual charging location and route stops | Tests whether the car fits your parking and travel routine |
| Warranty, service records and open recalls | Matters especially when considering used inventory |
What about older Bolt EV and Bolt EUV models?
Keep older Bolt listings in a separate used-car comparison. A familiar model name is not proof of identical charging hardware, battery condition or remaining warranty. Request service records, battery-related repair or replacement documentation, and a model-appropriate condition assessment.
Run the actual VIN through NHTSA’s recall lookup and verify completion records with the seller. The lookup is a practical screening step, not a substitute for inspecting the car or confirming its full service history. Our used-EV buying guide explains the wider checks.
Choose the model, then verify the vehicle
The best shortlist of Chevrolet electric cars starts with your needs: a compact everyday car, a five-seat SUV or a pickup with a real job to do. Once you have chosen a model family, compare actual vehicles with matching years, configurations and written prices. Confirm charging and local availability before committing.
How this guide was researched
This is a desk-researched lineup guide using Chevrolet and GM product information, IRS guidance and NHTSA’s recall tool, checked October 19, 2026. It was prepared with AI assistance and does not claim hands-on testing, a dealership inventory audit or a qualified engineering review.
Buyer-fit suggestions are editorial judgments, not instrumented test results. Official model pages can change; range references and starting prices are dated above. Vehicle photographs are manufacturer promotional imagery credited to Chevrolet, and the comparison checklist is an original explanatory graphic.

Frequently asked questions
What electric vehicles does Chevrolet offer?
For personal-use buyers, Chevrolet’s current U.S. model families include Bolt, Equinox EV, Blazer EV and Silverado EV. This guide does not cover commercial delivery vans. Confirm model year and local inventory before shopping.
Is the Chevrolet Bolt available again?
Chevrolet markets a new 2027 Bolt and provides shopping and inventory tools. That does not guarantee stock at a specific dealer; confirm a VIN, location and delivery status with the seller.
Are Equinox and Equinox EV the same vehicle?
Treat Equinox EV as its own electric model when checking specifications and inventory. Do not apply a listing or specification for the gasoline Equinox to the Equinox EV.
Can Chevrolet EVs charge at Tesla Superchargers?
Compatible models can use supported Superchargers with the correct port or manufacturer-approved adapter and activation. Requirements differ by model year; confirm the vehicle and station rather than assuming every Supercharger works.
Which Chevrolet EV has the longest range?
The current 2027 Silverado EV page advertises up to 478 GM-estimated miles on an available configuration. That is not an EPA rating for every Silverado or a towing-range promise; compare exact configurations.
